It dawned on me that I haven't actually had a steady format for the song posts, and now I elect to remedy that. I like formatting. Except when it comes to formatting CC&C, I think that's going to be a nightmare.
I digress.
Song: Come (Mad Bear Mix)
Artist: Namie Amuro
Anime: Inu-Yasha
Album: Style
Youtube hates me and like with Asu E, I couldn't find the full version. But it's the best I could do, annoying as that is. Anyway.
Come was used as one of the EDs for Inu-Yasha, and I first heard it long before I actually realized I could say ED instead of writing out “ending theme”. I mean, Inu-Yasha was the first anime I ever watched where I actually realized it was called anime, and even though I didn't get to this theme song until awhile after that (like a year or two, I forget), I still didn't know. It took me longer than that to become the geeky expert I am now.
Basically though, I heard the song and fell in love with it. To the point that for Christmas that year, I asked my grandma for the album it was on. She did get me the CD, it was the first legit Japanese CD I'd ever owned, and I happen to love it. I'm not a huge Namie fan, but she's pretty good.
I just love this song because of the beat and the entire feel of it. It's relaxing, but kind of heavy and...I hate trying to explain why I love certain songs, because it can be so difficult to describe how something like that makes you feel.
The point is, I do love it. I think it was a good fit for IY at the time, and the video accompanying it was just as pretty as the song itself.
Namie later went on to have a cover that looked like this:
I chose not to question it then, I still refuse to question it now. Then again, I also saw a picture of her on Google just now and thought it was Snookie. I refuse to link that one.
That's all for today folks.
