Please bear with me for a second, people, because I haven't finished congratulating Danny Choo on his new position as a member of the METI (Short for Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry) Creative Industries Internationalization Committee. Never mind, it turns out that there was only one more congratulations left inside me.
I bet most of you are wondering what this new committee does? Well, the answer is simple. METI's newest minister known as Toshimitsu Motegi has decided to create a committee that focuses on finding better ways to improve the distribution of things related to Japanese culture and content (such as anime, manga, video games, and fashion) across the entire world. In other words, this could very well revolutionize the way how stuff from Japan gets distributed overseas. Personally, I am very stoked about this, since I'm looking forward to seeing how Danny Choo's involvement with the group will affect the quality, localization, and exportation rate of products that we receive from Japan.
If you are interested in reading on his experience with his new position, check out his post at Culture Japan. And speaking of committee members, you can check out a brief list of the other members that Danny Choo will be working with in the section below.
