Say Happy Anniversary: Hurricanger to get an announcement

Technically, Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger aired in 2002, so I'm assuming that they are going by the year that the series ended in. But anyways, there's going to be a special announcement on April 1st that will commemorate the tenth anniversary of the second Sentai series that uses the ninja theme -- how convenient.

How much do you want to bet that this is going to be a preemptive April Fools joke? In fact, this is the perfect setup to a sneaky prank that's related to the show's ninja motif. Then there's the fact that there weren't any announcements related to the tenth anniversaries of the Sentai shows that preceded Hurricanger -- something is not right.

In preparation for Monday's surprise, we see a video where Shun Shioya (Yosuke/Hurricane Red), Nao Nagasawa (Nanami/Hurricane Blue), Koehei Yamamoto (Kota/Hurricane Yellow), Yujiro Shirakawa (Ikko/Kabuto Raiger), and Jun Hikasa (One of Hurricanger's producers) talk about the tenth anniversary. Unfortunately, Nobuo Kyo (Isshu/Kuwaga Raiger and Shurikenger were not in the video, but I'm hoping that they will play a role in next week's quote on quote reveal.

Joke or not, a part of me is intrigued, since Hurricanger was the first Sentai series that exposed me to Super Sentai. While I didn't get to finish it during my first exposure, it played a major role in creating the inception that would later evolve into me becoming a fan of tokusatsu.

Let's say that they are being serious about this whole thing, then it could mean that the Hurricangers are finally going to be made into S.H. Figuarts figures. If that's the case, then I am ready to face the Super Ninpu Shadow Dance head on. As we wait for the results, let's jam to the show's opening theme in the section below.
