I feel bad for not watching Tatami Galaxy, since I've heard nothing but good things from everyone that has laid eyes on it. In order to compensate for my shameful deed, I'm hear to tell you that P.A. Works's newest anime project is going to be an adaptation of a novel by Tomihiko Momimi, the author of the original Tatami Galaxy novel.
This new series go by the name of Uchoten Kazoku (Japanese for Estatic Family), and its story involves yokais (such as tanukis and tengus) and a family that watches over a shrine. The nice part about the anime is that the character designs will be handled by Koji Kumeta, who most of you know him as the creator of the Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei manga. We also have some great voice actors on board, since Kikuko Inoue (Please Teacher), Takahiro Sakurai (Code Geass) are among the people chosen for the cast.
While I haven't experience any of P.A. Work's stuff, I am aware that they have made some great stuff in the past. In fact, Angel Beats and Another are two shows by them that are sitting in my anime bucket. With this new combo in hand, I think we have an interesting show to look out for.
For more information on the show's staff and voice actors, you can head on over to the section after the jump. Once you are done, you can check out the gallery of the show's characters as well.
